• Fresh Linux Install

From Terry@1:103/705 to All on Fri Jan 4 14:48:14 2019
    Hi All and DM

I seem to be haveing a Prob, I have a few sbbs's running so i desided to
take the one with the least traffic basicly one i haven't made live yet,
and wiped it out and did a fresh install useing this command,

    wget 'http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi- bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/install/GNUmakefile'

    and this i ran this

    make install SYMLINK=1 USE_DOSEMU=1 CVSTAG=sbbs317b

and it started to compile, and then at first i thought it finshed but then
i got a closer look, and saw that it did this.

make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'wiplogin.bin', needed by 'all'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory '/sbbs/exec'
GNUmakefile:157: recipe for target 'baja' failed
    make: *** [baja] Error 2
    root@news:/sbbs#

and when it finshed i went to the /sbbs/exec dir and tryed to run ./scfg
and the file wasn't even there to run, it looks like its missing a lot of files, i'm sure its probly something im doing worng but not sure what, it worked the last time i ran it so i figure i would check here anyway,
congrats DM on the RELEASE :) im looking forwared to get it going on all my system thanks.

    Sincerly
    Terry / TJ

exec/wiplogin.* and wipshell.* were recently removed from CVS and subsequently (after the v3.17b tag) exec/*makefile. So either remove those lines from your exec/GNUmakefile or remove the "CVSTAG=..." part from your make command-line to get/buld the "latest" instead.
