• Syncterm - Zmodem

I've recently started having issues uploading REP files for QWK on this board, and others using ZModem. I found an article on the web indicating such a problem with SyncTerm, but I haven't had this issue before with any version
of SyncTerm on this BBS or any of the others. I'm wondering if the problem isn't related to updates of the SynchroNet BBS software. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm asking here, before I post any messages on the networke echoes, as I'm trying to discover what changed.

P.S. It seems to transfer ok, but the ZFIN (final step) is what hangs. I can upload via YModem without issue.

I'm affraid that I cannot help you there. I don't use SyncTerm at all, let alone QWK. I would like to use QWK and MultiMail at some point. Right now, I'm using Magic DOSBox and MS-Kermit v3.16. Kermit doesn't have X/Y/ZModem protocols (only their own Kermit protocol), let alone SEXYZ.

I wish I could be more helpful than that. :(

No worries. I appreciate the reply. I dual booted in Windows, and the upload worked just fine with SyncTerm. So, the problem is bound to be on my end. Something I'll need to fix.

Thanks for putting up a great bbs.

    Cheers.

Thanks for putting up a great bbs.

Was this meant for Kurt Hamm? I'm just a caller who signed up for this BBS the moment I saw it was hosted in the same area that I am in. <grin>

The previous board I was on, anytime I got a response on the local boards,
it was the Sysop, as the local users never checked it.

I presumed incorrectly, it would appear. So, that particular line does go
    to Mr. Hamm. :)
