Nigel,
Well, 1. The network owner has to keep his hub up and running and 2. Be responsive when it's down and people send multiple emails about it only to be ignored. I was about to drop the network at the end of the month if Gert wasn't able to help out.
Besides emailing Kris Jones, I also emailed Gert Kofoed Andersen, about
the status of networks they were supposedly running. I have not heard a reply from either of them.
While I have autoposts in selected echoes on various subjects, it'd be
nice to have some activity.
I tried emailing Gert about something else and heard nothing. I then spoke to someone who told me to speak to someone else who got in touch with Gert, then
I asked him about Kris and didn't hear anything back but all of a sudden
things started to connect and it look a rescan was automatically done and I
had a flood of old messages.
Maybe it'll stay up, maybe not. If it goes down for more than a week then I'm going to delete the network and suggest everyone else does the same and put it out of its misery. I'm all for keeping networks going, but it needs buy in
from the owner.
