I would like to apologize for the extended down time of Castle Rock BBS tonight. I was doing some work on the message bases, and didn't want
the system to receive any mail while I was moving files around.
I decided that instead of having almost 16000 files in one \msgs\ directory, I would split them up by network, and make them a bit more manageable.
All systems should be "GO" now! :)
It's a bear to shut things down, but even for nightly maintenance, you
don't want users corrupting the doorgames or message bases.
Earlier today, my internet was out for several hours...I guess it was
jealous that the water supply in the apartment complex was shut off as
well, thanks to a contractor cutting the line. We're still under a boil
water order. I had to purchase several gallon jugs of water for drinking,
and flushing the toilet. But, I'm afraid to shower, as with my luck, as
soon as I'd get lathered up, the water supply would quit.
